In the first half of the 20th century, when Satō Yoshinobu of the community of Jinego-Tenjin visited Innai Silver Mine (in the former Ogachi Town), a traveling troupe from Shikoku showed him a kind of Ayatori performance. He learned it from them and back in the community taught the villagers what he learned. The Ayatori performance is an art of handling two Aya sticks. It is characteristic of the tactful moves of the Aya sticks played with folkloric songs.
