The Koiji Bangaku used to be performed at the annual festival of Shinmei Shrine and on August 15 for Obon, but because of a lack of successors, it is now seldom performed. Dancers, musicians, and singers took part in the performance. Music was played with drums, Japanese flutes, gongs, and clappers.
